Hourly weather breaks down the day into one-hour blocks, showing temperature, chance of rain, wind and humidity for each slot. The live conditions above give you the current reading, while the hourly table lets you plan around rain windows or peak heat.

What does an hourly forecast tell you?

Each row in the hourly table shows the expected temperature, feels-like temperature, precipitation probability, wind speed and direction, and humidity for that hour. For travellers, this is the most useful tool for deciding when to hit the beach, start a bushwalk or avoid the afternoon storm. The Bureau of Meteorology updates the hourly data at least four times a day, so the forecast for hourly weather Melbourne or hourly weather Sydney remains reliable within a few hours.

How to use hourly weather for trip planning

If you are driving from Sydney to Canberra, check the hourly weather Canberra along the route to time your travel around fog or icy patches. For a weekend in Adelaide, the hourly weather Adelaide table shows when the sea breeze arrives. Even for a local outing, say hourly weather Glen Waverley, the hourly breakdown helps you avoid the wettest part of the afternoon. School holiday travellers should look for long dry windows rather than just the daily average.
